Welcome to Kimberly-Fan.blogspot.com
Two weeks ago, another dream came true – That of having a dance class with the one and only Kimberly Wyatt. Everything was so unexpected. Kim announced that she was going to hold a dance class only a week before the class. It was so exciting! The event was even posted on facebook and I saw that over 300 people confirmed that they would attend. I was scared not to have a spot because it was on a first come first serve basis.
When the day came, I got there 1 hour before and when I signed up, I was 4th on the list. At exactly 5.30pm (time at which the class was supposed to start), I saw Kim and Kevin entering the studio. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if it was her or not because she was wearing a hat and I totally forgot that she wasn’t blonde anymore! After a few seconds, I realized that it was really her. I ran to her and she was waving at me – it seemed that she recognized me! And there went the big hug! Most of you already know how warm and nice Kim’s hugs are :)
Kevin was there as well and he was very friendly. He was talking about the movie that he’s filming at the moment, in Toronto, called UnNatural History – a film that will air on Cartoon Network.
Now, coming to the class part. I got into the room and surprisingly, there was less than 300 people there! But the good thing was that it seemed all intimate and cosy. We started stretching (which lasted for about 10mins). After that warm-up, Kim started teaching some basic dance moves. I can’t remember the technical words she used since I’m not a professional dancer myself. But I can tell you that it was so much fun! I couldn’t do some steps and Kim came to my side, showing me the steps. She was smiling the whole time and her smile was like saying “yes, you can do it!” During the dance class, I was observing her and her moves; it felt like she was literally flying! If you have watched her vlog filmed in Australia, where she was on the beach dancing, it was a lot like that.
A few minutes later, Kim taught us the basic moves of “Not just a doll”. We obviously started without the music. We were divided into 4 main groups so that each one could have the chance of showing what we learned. With the music on, we started the steps on “Cause everyone around me knows that I’m a dreamer…” and we ended on “…how i got stronger” It took us quite some time to learn the steps because many of us are not real trained dancers and Kim was doing those sexy PCD moves, jumps like in ballet, etc haha – which obviously aren’t easy!
The class ended at 7pm. But 15mins before the end, Kim made us do some relaxation. We all had to lie on the floor and close our eyes. While we were all in our relaxed state, she was saying cool things like “I want you to close your eyes and think about your dream. Think about what you’ve always dreamed of and now you got it. It’s a feeling of satisfaction and now you’re smiling. [...] I want you to wake up every morning and think about this feeling.”
I honestly can’t remember the exact words, but basically the message was to never stop dreaming and smiling at life.
So I guess that’s about it. After the class, the dancers thanked her and she was signing some autographs, taking pictures etc. I’m so sorry for not having enough pictures to share with you. But the ones I took are on my tumblr.

To conclude, I can say that it was one of the best days of my life. Kim was so down to earth, so friendly, patient and understanding. She is a great teacher! Not only a dance teacher, but a teacher about life itself. I hope that everyone will have the chance to find out who that person is because she truly has a beautiful soul.
Thank you Kimberly for having done this class!
and thank you Yvonne for posting this on your cool blog.
